Combining the best of youth and experience, this six piece band from Toronto Canada delivers instantly memorable hooks, exhilarating four-part harmonies, and an eclectic mix of musical genres – from pure delicious pop, to heart wrenching ballads and driving rock – all wrapped in arrangements packed with genuine emotion.

Their debut EP "When I Feel like This" (released in October 2015) features three gems from the catalogue of award-winning songwriter and frontman Robert Graham  (www.robertgraham.org) – with a wonderous cameo from the stunning young Canadian songbird Caitlin Holland. The EP has already elicited three all - network sync licensing contracts (The Discovery Channel, Fox Sports and The NASCAR Network) as well as contracts from twelve individual shows - including The Real World, Bad Girls Club, Total Divas and three Kardashian shows - none of which the band has ever watched! It has also been added to the playlists of over 100 radio stations across North America and two of the songs were runners-up (in two categories) in the 2015 Dallas Songwriters Association Song Contest, and also garnered a semi-final placement in the  2016 "Song Of The Year" contest. You can download the EP below.

With showcases at Indie Week Canada, Canadian Music Week, and The International Pop Overthow Festival already under their belt, The Fairest and Best are ready to burrow into your both your heart and your eardrums – and stay there!

The Fairest and Best are real "music lovers" band -  you'll find it ALL here and it's ALL ORIGINAL!  Pop, rock, soul, jazz, Latin, country, blues, reggae, new wave, and even power ballads! There songs are multi-genre, highly eclectic, but all performed with heart, humour, hooks, and harmony. But don't take their word for it:

"I have no idea what genre this is, it's just good.......something I won't be able to get out of my head for days." (KAMP Radio)

"Ingenious, sophisticated pop music with more twists and turns than the average Agatha Christie thriller..." (BBC Tees)

"It sounded like Huey Lewis and the News were having sex with Supertramp while Steely Dan watched (smoking a cigarette)...... "

.....a trippy, eclectic collection of pop, rock and blues – with hints of jazz  and soul – accompanied by some stand-out musicians and vocalists....... a big range of emotional and musical expression ....  combines the whimsical poignancy of Beatles storytelling with the dark social commentary of The Police’s “Synchronicity II”.....(Life With More Cowbell)

As well as Graham and Holland the band features drummer Nigel Maynard (Mr Handsome 2), guitarists Darryl Wood (Mr Expressive), Brant Garratt (The Young Buck), and bassist Gerry Williams (the Respectable One).

In its short existence the band is already establishing a reputation for wildly entertaining, humorous, and thought provoking live shows at several of Toronto's premier venues including The Horseshoe, Lee's Palace, The Cameron House, and The Silver Dollar. The songs, which are written by Graham, have already garnered  award recognition from the BILLBOARD WORLD SONG CONTEST, and the DALLAS SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION SONGWRITING CONTEST among others. Several songs have secured licensing deals in Australia and Italy, secured radio airplay in several countries, and were featured in the Canadian feature film"Clean Break", as well as the Australian feature film "From Parts Unknown" - Fight Like a Girl!"

The Fairest and Best welcome you to their wonderful wacky world of love, hooks and big harmonies! Visit us at www.thefairestandbest.com or www.robertgraham.org

"It Could Be You" in Australia!

We were pleased receive this letter from a representative of "Buddies Refugee Support Group" from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia:

Hello Robert

I want to share some good news with you.

Even though the Sunshine Coast Council has declined to accept our proposal for declaration of a Refugee Welcome Zone, we were able to play your powerful and evocative song and film clip at a Multicultural Conversations Project forum being lead by the Council. Buddies is a partner in this project.

The forum was a day long event at the university, addressed by a number of dignitaries (including state and local government members) and key note speakers. The objective of the project is to develop an action plan to enhance the strength from the existing multicultural community on the Coast, representing 156 countries, 96 languages and 45 faiths, and to address the barriers to their full and equal participation in the community.

We finished the forum with the screening of your song - to leave the almost 100 attendees contemplating  your powerful message: "It could be you"!

Thank you once again for composing and sharing this wonderful song.

Best regards
