"It Could Be You". The title of the song says it all. Life is a lottery and if we had been dealt a different hand in life we could easily be a refugee.  When we wrote the song we wanted to express our desire for a return to empathy for people worldwide - Syria, the wider Middle East, and elsewhere. As the song says - refugees are "people who are just like you."
 
That is the message of the song - regardless of political ideology, religion, or anything else - we are all human beings and we need to support each other.
